As the name suggests, this range of trading Bots has been specifically designed to capitalise on, and benefit from, significant movements in the price of Gold. In contrast to some of our other Bots, the XAU Bullion Breakout Pro trades relatively infrequently, but when it does trade – boy does it trade!

In a typical day, expect to see only one, or possibly two trades. Some days it may not even trade at all. Make no mistake though, when this Bot does trade, the results will often be significant. So what does it do, and how does it work?

Although this Bot may appear to be asleep most of the time, it is constantly monitoring the price of Gold and comparing current price action against price action from previous trading sessions. It will use the data collected from previous sessions to determine previous high and previous low price points and to identify trading opportunities. The XAU Bullion Breakout Pro will calculate what it considers to be a ‘target’ price point that Gold needs to reach to create a trading opportunity. This will usually be based on a previous high point, a previous low point – or possibly both.

Once a ‘target’ price is reached [or surpassed] the Bot will regard this as a market ‘Breakout’ and will react accordingly by entering either a long [buy] trade or a short [sell] trade. Shortly after executing the trade [and once that trade reaches a pre-determined level of profit] a ‘Trialling Stop’ mechanism will automatically be triggered to track and trail the price action to protect any profit generated by favourable price movements. A series of profit targets are also activated to maximise potential profit, which can be particularly beneficial in fast moving or volatile markets. Similarly, an automatic ‘Stop Loss’ mechanism may also be deployed to protect against significant adverse price movements when required.
